Get Fat, Be Happy

Some people might be asking me why the hell am I happier gaining weight and I guess it would be strange to the people who’ve been indoctrinated into this strange idea that skinny or buff are the only positive body types to this, I would say that is just plain WRONG.

With people like The Harvard Gazette posted back in 2019 “Close to half of U.S. population projected to have obesity by 2030” and some might have found that to be a terrifying idea, but where’s the flaw in this? I mean what would be wrong, I mean other than possible issues with supply/demand in dating pools, but I am long out of the dating game.

We are entering a golden era for people who find the beauty and peace in being plus-sized.

I can personally pinpoint the exact date that I started to rethink the idea of beauty…this goes back a decade ago when on May 27th of 2014 I picked up a physical copy of “Builders of the Future” by the American rock band Powerman 5000; while I was picking up this album saw a plus-sized woman and I can still remember the song I had playing it was Track 5; the band’s cover of “Space Oddity” by David Bowie [not to be confused with The Sovereign, if you get the reference…way to go]. from their album “Copies, Clones & Replicants” which was a collection of cover songs.

After that moment I had a bit of an Existential crisis due to the fact I was now rethinking my whole concept of beauty, norms and such it truly was a pivotal moment in my life, but I came out the other side far better person.

Now back in 2019 an article was published in The New England Journal of Medicine titled “Projected U.S. State-Level Prevalence of Adult Obesity and Severe Obesity” which thankfully is public now they’re projecting that by 2030 the majority of Americans will be obese with Mississippi being the fattest, can we blame them? Mississippi has some of the most filling, fattening and best food in the whole United States.

I personally welcome our fatter, happier, softer society and if you can’t handle it…then just leave or get with it, and before I hear the people decrying “What about the health risks” shut the fuck up we have gotten to the point we can create artificial organs in a lab for dirt cheap do you honestly and truly think that is going to be an issue still by the time we reach majority obesity?
