It’s been a full month of me running Obese.Moe a plus size website and I’ve had a mix of ups and downs mostly ups though.
I’ve gotten to see my site reach 500 hits in a single week which caused my firewall to alert me as it was a massive spike; but sadly some of the chances to interview people fell though but that’s normal, and I should have expected something like that to happen.
This journey truly been eye-opening, and I would not trade it for anything.
First off, I learned Ghost isn’t really worth it when it comes to a blogging platform and I will likely not use it on any sites I personally run or own; I’ve also learned many people like the more pudgy and feminine if given the chance to be open about it.
I was shocked when talking about the site with people I’d never guess loved larger men and women; knowing that warmed my heart and gave me hope for the future.
I’ve slowly been learning how to create better content I can’t wait to share with everyone and make connections in the plus size online spaces which is odd as for once I feel I belong, something I hadn’t felt in so long.
I can’t wait to help promote the idea of a happier and plumper world that can truly bring joy to everyone.
In closing, I wish to end with a quote from the iconic “Vision” interview from Rion Vernon’s character of Dr. Steel
“I refuse to accept the ugliness of this world. In the world I see, my eyes are clear, and they see nothing but beauty. And robots. Beauty, and robots”
For me there is beauty in the plump, buxom and the voluptuous things that we as a society ignore and view as not worth it, but I will challenge this flawed ideology.
Now if anyone needs me, I’ll be listening to my eurobeat and enjoying some sushi.
