Hell Has Frozen Over: XBOX Titles coming to PlayStation and Switch?

The Verge is reporting that “four Xbox-exclusive games are coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch” which is shocking for many reasons; Microsoft was known as the company who followed “The Three E’s” what are they you might ask? Well the Three E’s were “Embrace, Extend, and Extinguish” yet here we are… At first, I figured Xbox having their major titles being released on Steam was to try and expand the “Windows Game Pass” or “Game Pass for PC” lineup, but now I am not sure.

It almost feels history is repeating itself; for the readers who are unaware the Xbox was not always the major brand it is now, hell Xbox wasn’t even the first time Microsoft tipped a toe into video game consoles.

Before the Xbox was even a glimmer in the DirectX team of Kevin Bachus, Seamus Blackley, Ted Hase or Otto Berkes’ eyes.

Microsoft worked on the last console from SEGA the Dreamcast developing a custom version of Windows CE with DirectX API and dynamic-link libraries, making it easy to port PC games to the Dreamcast.

It got me wondering with Microsoft dismissing developers, annoying their core fan base and their method of pricing for online functionality which I complained about in my rant back on the 1st of February titled “What Pisses Me Off: XBOX Game Pass Plans” and lastly the disaster of how they are treating Activision Blizzard which I talked about on my main blog

Microsoft just check yourself into the proverbial rehab you are losing people more and more, I swear I’ve seen so many people jump ship.
